Eastern Province Governor Inaugurates King Fahd International Airport Master Plan and Launches Development Projects

The Governor of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, presided over the ceremony to inaugurate the new identity and master plan of King Fahd International Airport, along with the master plans for Al-Ahsa International Airport and Al-Qaisumah Airport. He also launched Dammam Airports Company’s strategy and inaugurated a package of integrated development projects exceeding a total value of SAR 1.6 billion. The projects include the implementation of 77 development initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving passenger experience.
During the event, a new low-cost national carrier was announced, based at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, operating flights to 24 domestic and 57 international destinations. The governor also inaugurated the electronic gates for passenger processing, in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, and the Director General of Passports, Maj. Gen. Dr. Saleh Al-Murabba .
