    Cargo Village

    The First of Its Kind in the Kingdom

    Inaugurated on 17 August 2015 at King Fahd International Airport, under the auspices and presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, KFIA’s Cargo Village now plays a vital role as a regional hub for global companies seeking to do business in the region

    The village aspires to be one of the important economic engines in cargo and logistics industries in the Kingdom by providing services of the highest standards to its partners. Currently, the village deals with a large share of the shipping market in the region and aims to attract more strategic investors toward achieving its planned growth.

    Air Cargo

    The Cargo Village at KFIA offers many distinct advantages. This includes a diversity of operators, an ecosystem of service providers, a competitive environment, and operational efficiencies gained by virtue of being located in a single location. KFIA is the first International airport within KSA to drive change to create healthy competition within the industry to provide airlines with the choice to select between two GHA with the capability to handle up to 280,000 Tons of air cargo per year

    Bonded Zone

    Operated by the Eastern Gate Logistics Company on 100,000 sqm of land, the import and re-export zone is a critical component of the Cargo Village and enables investors to store and re-export air, inland, and sea cargo shipments without paying duties. In addition, customers may also be able to partially aggregate and clear goods from within the zone. The “Eastern Gateway” utilizes a total land size of 100,000 Sqm to operate as a first of its kind at any national Airport within the KSA that provides Bonded & Dry Port services. The Eastern Gateway services is one of the key services that is driving the change of the logistics industry within the kingdom.
