A Strategic Partnership between Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and Dammam Airports Company to Include Academic and Training Services and the Development of Scientific Studies
Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dammam Airports Company (DACO). The MOU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University for Academic Affairs Dr. Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Utaibi, and Acting CEO of Dammam Airports Company, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Mutlaq al-Utaibi, with the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Zamil, in addition to representatives from both entities. The signing ceremony was held at the University’s administrative building in Dammam.
For his part, The University’s Undersecretary for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ghazi Al-Utaibi, said that the memorandum of understanding allows for the implementation of academic services to benefit both parties, the agreement includes developing and teaching academic courses in airport engineering in accordance with the needs of the employment market and cooperate in various areas for scientific research, to help improve the general environment of King Fahd International Airport and the services provided to airport users. The agreement also includes the participation of students and university employees to provide training opportunities for students from The Bachelor of Science Program in Transport and Traffic Engineering, who are still in the program for at least 8 weeks to share the general knowledge about transportation, traffic engineering, airports for specialists, and the community by supporting Dammam Airports Company for scientific events, seminars and workshops organized by the University.
Dr. Al-Utaibi noted that the university seeks through the signing of this MOU and this strategic partnership to expand the relationship beyond the academic field to better benefit our community and nation. Acting CEO of DACO, Mr. Abdulrahman bin Mutlaq Al-Utaibi, expressed his appreciation and excitement on DACO’s cooperation with Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, stressing the company’s approach in playing an active role in the fields of education and development to benefit those who wish to pursue a future role in the aviation industry and are highly competent
