Developing the Scope of Cooperation between DACO and Zajil aims to Increase the Company’s Capacity and Explore Development Opportunities

Dammam Airports Company (DACO) and Zajil signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at developing the scope of its logistics business at King Fahd International Airport in addition to increasing the company’s capacity and exploring development opportunities in the region. The MOU was signed by Dammam Airports Company’s Acting CEO Abdurrahman bin Mutlaq al-Utaibi and from Zajil Managing Director Mr. Yasser Bin Abdulaziz Al-Qadi, in the presence of Dammam Airports Chairman, Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Zamil.

During the signing of the agreement, Dammam Airports Acting CEO Abdulrahman Al Utaibi welcomed the new collaboration with Zajil, which comes as part of DACO’s strategy to develop the logistics sector at King Fahd International Airport, which occupies a key position in the sector because of its vital location in the region. Al Utaibi emphasized DACO’s efforts to contribute to Vision 2030, which focuses on establishing a global logistics hub in the Kingdom.

Al-Utaibi also noted that collaborating with Zajil will support investors in enhancing the competitiveness of their companies by expanding their operations. He expressed DACO’s aspiration to work closely with Zajil to provide wider services at the Cargo Village, which aspires to be one of the important economic drivers in the shipping and logistics sector. For his part, The Managing Director of Zajil A. Yasser Bin Abdulaziz Al Kadi stated that Zajil is witnessing rapid growth in operations and geographical expansion in the Kingdom, where the number of branches has increased from 8 to 122 branches over the past years. Al-Qadi concluded his statement, noting the importance of partnering with Dammam Airports, looking forward to developing the relationship between the two companies in the future to serve the beneficiaries in the region. It is worth mentioning that the cargo village adopts the concept of logistics centering that allows the reloading of goods through various modes of transport (land, air), benefiting from its strategic location its strategic location, which contributes to the acquisition of a large proportion of GCC imports
